RECREATION AND EQUESTRIAN COALITION

 

9th Annual REC RIDE to CELEBRATE RECREATION & ACCESS TO PUBLIC LANDS

 

 

DATE:   October 12, 2008

TIME:    10:00 a.m.  Ready to Ride    

REGISTRATION:  Check in time 7:30 - 9:45 a.m.

STAGING AREA & Parking: Malibu Valley Farms 2200 Stokes Canyon Rd, Calabasas.    

RIDERS:   Under 18 yr. must wear helmet & ride with adult.  No dogs.  No stallions.

NON-RIDERS: Join us to socialize, to enjoy the food, or to help with the event.

LUNCH:    BBQ catered by Calamigos Ranch at 1:00 p.m.

TRAIL ROUTES:  Vary from 1 ½ hours to 3 hours, from flat trails to hills

HORSE RENTAL:   Circle K ~ Robert 805.499.9512. You must call to reserve your horse. $100 for 1.5 to 3 hour ride Make your reservations early as horses rent fast!

 

DONATION: Ride, BBQ lunch, hat $40 pd by Oct 6; $45 pd at ride; lunch only $25 pd ahead; $30 at ride

                      A pre-paid donation will ensure that we order enough hats for you.

REC Mission Statement - The mission of the Recreation and Equestrian Coalition (REC) is to inform the public and policy makers about access to and the use of diverse recreational opportunities available throughout Los Angeles County and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.  REC will protect and defend the region's rich natural diversity and promote public/private partnerships to preserve and expand visitor-serving recreational facilities.   REC is a 501(c)3 tax deductible, charitable/educational organization.
